Wushu artist Bui Truong Giang carried off a silver medal for Vietnam on September 24 after being outplayed by Zhao Fuxiang of China in the final match.
Giang was the only Vietnamese representative entering the final round of the men’s 56kg Sanshou category, and he was overwhelmed 0-2 by the strong Chinese opponent.
His teammates Nguyen Van Sy and Tan Thi Ly also brought home two bronze medals.
After five days of competition, Vietnamese Wushu artists have won a total of one gold, one silver and four bronzes, meeting their set target.
In the morning, Vietnamese rowers bagged a silver medal in the women’s Quadruple Scull.
Currently, Vietnam is ranking in the top 10 at ASIAD 17 with one gold, four silvers and 11 bronzes.
