Heavy rain makes the scene very real.
Nearly 6,000 people joined the rehearsal, using helicopters, naval ships, canoes, trucks, fire trucks,
cranes and other specialized equipment and vehicles.
The rehearsal was kicked off at 7.45am when alert sounds warning of tsunami in western
Luzon Island in the Philippines. It is forecast that the tsunami will hit Da Nang coast in
2.5-3 hours with the height of 6m.
At the same time, thousands of tourists are on Da Nang coast. There are also 75 boats
with over 900 fishermen on the sea, plus 450 boats landing along the coast.
When tsunami comes, there are 27,000 families totaling over 130,000 people in five coastal districts,
including over 26,000 kids and elderly people who must be evacuated.
After the tsunami is alarmed, competent agencies have instructed local people and tourists to
hide themselves in high-rise buildings, apartment blocks, mountains, etc.
