VietNamNet Bridge – Collector Nguyen Huu Hoang has opened an exhibition to present 12 out of 30 rare royal costumes of the Nguyen Dynasty in his collection, at the Ta Vu house in the Hue royal citadel.

The exhibition introduces imperial robe of the Nguyen prince, costumes on daily life of the queen, concubines, members of the royal family and mandarins, the costume of dancers in the Hue royal court music troupe and the costume of royal tuong artist.

Mr. Hoang has spent 20 years to collect these outfits.

Dr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Center for Preservation of Hue Relics, says that these are extremely rare costumes of the Nguyen dynasty that are preserved at present. They are highly valuable items in terms of culture and history.
