The list of national treasures has been expanded with the addition of 24 new national treasures under a recent approval decision of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The 24 objects and sets of objects are:
1. A dagger with the handle shaped like a snake biting an elephant’s foot: dating back 2000 – 2500 years ago, preserved at Nghe An central province’s museum.

4. A sets of casts found in Nhon Thanh relic: dating from the 1st – 7th century, preserved at the museum of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.

7. A Vishnu statue found in Go Thanh relic: dating from the 6th – 8th century, preserved at the Gia Lai Museum.

9. A set of statues of 10 sacred animals of the Phat Tich Pagoda: dating from the 11th century, preserved at the Phat Tich Pagoda, Bac Ninh northern province.

10. Statues of four female Buddha of the Dau – Duy Lau region: dating from the 18th century, preserved at the Dau, Phi Tuong, Dan pagodas in Bac Ninh.
11. Dragon-carved stone pillars at the Dam Pagoda: dating from the 11th century, preserved at the Dam Pagoda, Bac Ninh.
12. King Le Hien Tong’s tombstone: dating from the end of the 15th century, preserved at the Lam Kinh historical relic, the central province of Thanh Hoa.
13. Ancient texts carved on mountain rock at the Kinh Chu cave: dating back to the 19th – early 20th century, preserved at the Kinh Chu cave, the northern province of Hai Duong.
