The twin sisters, well-known among the HCM City's classical guitar fans, had stopped performing for several years after they got married.

At the Twins Return Concert, Thu will play A. B. Mangore's classical pieces and J. Serrano's flamenco. Thao will perform F. Tarrega's Gran Jota.

The sisters, now in their late 20s, will play together Mozart's Turkish March as well as Milonga, a folk guitar music form that originated in Uruguay and Argentina.

The sisters started studying guitar at six and graduated from HCM City's Conservatory of Music in 2000. They won several awards at national competitions including a gold medal at the first national dance and music festival organised in Ha Noi in 1994.

Thao took third place in the National Young Guitarists' Contest organised in Ha Noi in 2000.

The twins performed together at many music clubs in the city until 2004.

Thao has taught guitar at HCM City's Conservatory of Music since her graduation, while Thu works as an accountant. Thu said she played the guitar at home everyday.

"We have played together since last year to prepare for this comeback, " Thu said.

The concert will begin next Tuesday at 8pm at 70-72 Nguyen Van Troi Street Phu Nhuan District.
