On August 19, the Da Nang City Police Department announced the arrest of two Chinese nationals involved in a burglary at a private home in Ngu Hanh Son Ward.

At around 3:00 PM on August 16, L.T.T.Tr. (born in 2000, residing in Ha Nha, Da Nang) and her boyfriend L.P. (born in 1992, Chinese nationality) returned to their home on Le Quang Dao Street and discovered that the second floor had been ransacked. Several high-value items were missing, including 400 million VND in cash and luxury handbags and jewelry. The total value of the stolen goods was estimated at more than 600 million VND (over $25,000).

The Criminal Police Division, in coordination with Ngu Hanh Son Ward Police, launched an immediate investigation and crime scene inspection.

By 9:00 PM the same day, Da Nang police, with support from airport security at Da Nang International Airport, arrested Xia Feiyang (born in 2006) and Zhang Haoran (born in 2008), both Chinese nationals, as they were en route to flee the country. The stolen cash, jewelry, and handbags were all recovered.

The suspects confessed that they had conspired with Wang Meng (born in 1990, Chinese nationality), who is currently at large. According to police, Wang Meng was the ringleader of the operation. Da Nang authorities are now expanding the investigation and pursuing the mastermind.
