Police in the northern province of Son La have detained two persons for drug trafficking.

Le Hong Minh (48), a resident of Phu Luong District's Son Cam Commune in Thai Nguyen Province, and Lo Van Thuc (43) from Van Ho District's Xuan Nha Commune in Son La Province were caught red-handed on Sunday, when they were transporting ecstasy pills to Thai Nguyen Province.

The police have seized 7,920 ecstasy pills, a motorbike, two mobile phones, VND800,000 (US$36.6), and other related evidence from the duo.

The case is under further investigation.
