The first earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.3, struck Moc Chau district in Son La province at 7:36 a.m. (Hanoi time).

The earthquake’s epicenter was located at 20.926 degrees North latitude and 104.765 degrees East longitude, with a focal depth of approximately 10 km.

According to the institute, this event poses no significant risk, classified as level 0 for natural disaster risk.

At 7:54 a.m., another earthquake, registering a magnitude of 3.7, occurred in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province.

The epicenter of this quake was recorded at 14.866 degrees North latitude and 108.264 degrees East longitude, with a depth of 8.1 km. This event was also rated at level 0 for natural disaster risk.

The Institute of Geophysics continues to monitor both events closely, though no significant damage has been reported.
