VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has licensed two models of Venus Company – Ngoc Trinh and Nhu Thao – to participate in the Miss Vietnam International 2011 in the US.
This is the first time this event held in the US, with over 200 contestants who are Vietnamese girls around the world. The organizing board will select 50 contestants for the finale on August 13, in Long Beach, California.

Contestants will compete for the crown, with $30,000 bonus and other presents, Miss Swimwear, Miss Photogenic and Miss Talent.

The pageant will be filmed for distribution around the world. Miss Vietnam 1992 Ha Kieu Anh is a jury member.

The two Vietnamese contestants – Ngoc Trinh and Nhu Thao – are popular models in Vietnam.
Ngoc Trinh became a model at the age of 16. She won the Photogenic Prize at the Vietnam Supermodel 2007 contest. In 2007, she was the winner of the Miss Fashion pageant and the best in evening gown title at the Miss Jewelry.

Nhu Thao was among the top five of the Vietnam Supermodel 2008 contest, and won the Promising Model and Best in Performing Style titles. Earlier, Thao entered the top ten of the Miss Vietnam Global 2007 pageant. Thao is also an amateur actress in some TV series.

The two models will leave Vietnam on August 2, with costumes sponsored by ABC fashion.
