With regard to aviation infrastructure, the ministry will upgrade, renovate and improve the efficiency of the nine existing airports in the region, and at the same time, invest in building two new airports: Phan Thiet and Quang Tri.

It will work alongside relevant localities to invest in building an aviation logistics center linked to Da Nang and Chu Lai international airports, and arrange logistics centers at airports with transport demand greater than 250,000 tonnes/year.

These centers are required to meet logistics conditions and connect appropriate modes of transport for shipments at Da Nang and Chu Lai airports.
