VietNamNet Bridge – The tribunal president of Ca Mau province and his office manager have been disciplined at the provincial People’s Court for their irresponsible behaviours that resulted in a case of corruption.

According to the Ca Mau Party Committee, Truong Thanh Ky, Ca Mau’s tribunal president, has had received a warning from the provincial Party Committee. He will also be reprimanded by the local People’s Committee.

At the same time, judge Chau Thanh Dung, Vice Party Secretary of the Ca Mau People’s Court and manager of the court office, has also received a warning from the Ca Mau Party Committee.

The Ca Mau Party Committee’s inspectors said that tribunal president Ky didn’t fulfil his responsibility, and this led to a corruption case related to the court’s cashier and missing out criminals in the economic case at a local firm named Camimex.

The court office manager, Dung, was reprimanded for his responsibility for the corruption case within the court cashier Huynh Thuy Trang. Dung is also accused of not being honest in declaring his year of birth (the younger officials are, the longer they can assume their posts).
