VietNamNet Bridge – Two men who robbed the handbag of a woman on the road were arrested by HCM City police on November 13, after being chased for only 200m.




At about 10:30am on November 13, while patrolling the streets of Phu Nhuan district, the task force of Phu Nhuan police agency detected two men on a motorcycle with suspicious signs. The team followed them.

The two suspected men traveled along many roads in Phu Nhuan District, such as Phan Dinh Phung, Phan Dang Luu, Phan Long Chain, Thich Quang Duc ...

On Phung Van Cung road in Ward 4, Phu Nhuan District, they suddenly pressed their vehicle against a motorbike driven by woman (Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lieu, 50, from Go Vap District) who was carrying her daughter.

The man behind pulled the woman’s handbag while the driver sped up to escape.

The police also sped up to chase the robbers. They caught the robbers just 200 m away from the robbery scene. Policemen crashed their motorbike into the two robbers, making them falling on the road.

At the police station, the robbers claimed themselves as Le Huu Tai, 24 and Huynh Hoang Hai, 22, both from Phu Nhuan District. Hai was the driver and Tai robbed the handbag.

The same day, Phu Nhuan police gave back the handbag to the victim.
