In late August, a two-story house in Nghia Trung Commune, Nghia Hung District, Nam Dinh Province, was successfully relocated and rotated 180 degrees by a team of specialists. This impressive feat involved moving the house a distance of approximately 100 meters.

The house, with a floor area of 127 square meters, had to be carefully lifted and stabilized before it could be moved.

According to Pham Phuoc Le, a member of the relocation team, the process involved using hydraulic jacks and other specialized equipment to ensure the structure's safety during the move.

Despite encountering challenges such as navigating around obstacles like utility poles, other houses, and a riverbank, the team managed to complete the relocation successfully.

Typically, a relocation team consists of around six people, but in this case, up to 15 workers were involved at different stages. The complexity of the move required precise adjustments, especially when making 90-degree turns.

The house belonged to the family of Mr. Dung, who had recently built it before learning that it was in the path of the 500kV power line project. To avoid demolishing the newly constructed house, Mr. Thue, who purchased the house, decided to hire the team to move it to a new location on his property.

The cost of the relocation, including the 180-degree rotation, amounted to 600 million VND (approximately 25,000 USD). After two months of meticulous work, the house has been successfully moved and is now being positioned to face its new direction.
