VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietsov Petro women’s volleyball club was officially dissolved yesterday, February, after a scandal related to the hand-over of this team to Saigon-Pacific Beer.
The Vietsov Petro team.
Only several hours after the team’s dissolution, the technical director of the Sai Gon -Pacific Beer women's volleyball club - Mr. Tran Minh Khang also said that his club may be dissolved too. Earlier, this team intended to admit players of the Vietsov Petro club.
A source said that managers of Vietsov Petro and Saigon-Pacific Beer women’s volleyball clubs were unhappy with the complaints of members of the Vietsov Petro team on facebook and newspapers and they wanted to dissolve the two teams.
In November 2013, Vietsov Petro confirmed to completely transfer the team with 17 players to the Saigon-Pacific Beer. But recently, a Vietsov Petro player - Dinh Thi Tra Giang who is also a member of the national team, posted an “SOS” on her facebook. Giang said that the transfer was delayed, raising difficulty for the team members.
Technical Director of the Saigon-Pacific Beer Club Tran Minh Khang said that Giang told lie.
He said that the team carefully learned about the aspirations of Vietsov Petro athletes and accepted nearly all their requirements but they did not join the new team.
“I've heard that Vietsov Petro disbanded the team. We therefore will not receive any player from this team. They can find a new club," Khang said.
According to Khang, joining his team, Vietsov Petro players will be paid higher salary and allowances. However, he said he did not know why the players did not join his team. He added that he would not learn about the reason because "We had four meetings with the athletes to learn about their mind and aspirations. I think it is enough."
