U13 Vietnam to tour Japan

The best-performing team at the U13 Football Festival, held recently, will tour Japan from August 17 to 21.

This is a special bonus from Yamaha Motor Viet Nam, the sponsor and co-organiser of the first-ever tournament for secondary school students in the country.

During the five-day trip, the young players will tour the elite Asian football nation that provides several world-class players.

They will also compete in several football matches with rivals of the same age from Azul Claro FC.

The organisers will also take the players to well-known Japanese destinations to provide them more knowledge about the unique culture and traditions there.

The players will train under experienced local coaches for some days in Ha Noi before their departure.

Thuan An win national championship

Thuan An Thua Thien-Hue won the National Beach Football Championship that concluded in Da Nang on July 5.

In the last round match, Thuan An won 7-2 over Hino Da Nang.

They grabbed 12 points to top the tournament.

Khanh Hoa who beat Sai Gon Nhan Tin 9-1 came second with the same points, followed by Hino Da Nang, on nine.

Tran Vinh Phong of Thuan An was declared the best player, while Tran Cong Thanh of Hino Da Nang emerged as the best goalkeeper. The best scorer tag went to Tran Huu Phuc of Khanh Hoa for bagging 10 goals.
