VietNamNet Bridge – The U19 Australian team arrived in Hanoi on September in preparation for the Nutifood Cup opening match with U19 Vietnam on September 5.

After a long journey and transit in Hong Kong (China), the Australian footballers were exhausted upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport.

The coaching staff held a briefing meeting with representatives from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and reporters after completing customs procedures.

Delegation Head, Simon Roberts, said the U19 Australia squad comprises 20 of the most outstanding football players from the Land Down Under. In the last face-off, U19 Vietnam trounced the Australian squad 5-1.

He added Coach Okon Engstler will be arriving in Vietnam early to have plenty of time to prepare for the match with U19 Vietnam, and what promises to be an exciting tournament.

At the Nutifood Cup, U19 Australia is in group B with U19 Japan and U19 Vietnam.
