VietNamNet Bridge – Barcelona FC has confirmed to send its U19 squad to Vietnam to participate in the U19 International Football Tournament in HCM City on January 6-10, 2014.

The Vietnam Football Federation’s (VFF) vice chairman Le Hung Dung says that Barcelona FC will send its top players to Vietnam. The VFF is awaiting confirmation of the two other foreign teams – Arsenal FC's U19 team and U19 Japan.

Dung says that the VFF will soon draft a contract and send it to Barcelona FC. After the contract is signed, the organizers will take the next steps.

The two other invitation letters have been sent to Arsenal Football Club and the Football Association of Japan.

The award for the championship of the U19 International Football Tournament or the Nutrifood Cup 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City will be $100,000, the highest amount for a friendly football event in Vietnam so far. The second and third teams will receive $70,000 and $50,000, respectively.
