VietNamNet Bridge – The national U19 Viet Nam will head to Indonesia to play in the final round of 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U19 Championship on October 11 to face U19 China in a friendly three days later.

In the build-up to the event, the team played two friendlies during a training trip to Japan against U19 Japan and Kyoto Sangyo University and three in Qatar against Uruguay, Qatar and the Ivory Coast earlier this month.

Head coach Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) for funding the training trips.

In the finals of the AFC U19 Championship, Vietnam are in Group C with South Korea, Australia and Jordan, while China are in Group D with Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan and Malaysia.

Their latest encounter was in the final round of the AFC U19 Cup 2014, where they drew 1-1. 

Coach Tuan and his Chinese counterpart will be both hoping for a good performance before the tournament kicks off.

As scheduled, after the Qatar four-nations tournament, the team will gather on September 30.
