Vietnam's U23 team gathered at the Ha Noi-based Viet Nam Football Training Centre yesterday to practice for the 2016 AFC U23 Championship qualifier.
To ensure the best results for the team during training, their Japanese coach Toshiya Miura established firm rules for both reporters and fans.
Reporters are permitted to work on-site for the first 15 minutes of the practice sessions, after which the team's training sessions will be strictly protected to keep fans from entering the grounds.
Moreover, the 51-year-old coach announced that he and his players would only answer selected questions from journalists once a week. The questions would have to be delivered in advance via email.
The team will challenge themselves during friendly matches before heading to Malaysia for the qualifying round, which is slated from March 23 to 31. They will also play against Toyota V.League 1's Ha Noi T&T and Quang Ninh Coal, as well as the U23 teams from Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Thailand.
