In the letter, the embassy acknowledged and highly valued the efforts of Vietnamese law enforcement agencies in handling the case.

Authorities said the outcome helped protect the lawful rights and interests of copyright holders, licensed content providers and legitimate users.

According to A05, amid increasingly complex copyright violations in cyberspace, Vietnamese authorities have proactively monitored developments and identified the operational methods used by offenders.

Based on that, law enforcement agencies deployed coordinated measures to detect, prevent, investigate and strictly handle acts infringing copyright and related rights in the digital environment.

Authorities described the dismantling of the Xoi Lac TV network as a typical case demonstrating the proactive approach, determination and enforcement capacity of Vietnamese agencies in tackling organized cross-border copyright violations carried out online.

Need for closer cooperation

A05 said the recognition from the Embassy of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland carries particular significance as online copyright infringement is no longer an issue confined to individual countries, but has become a shared global challenge.

The department stressed that effective enforcement requires close cooperation among law enforcement agencies, diplomatic missions, international organizations and cross-border entities.

In the coming period, Vietnamese authorities said they will continue strengthening efforts to detect, prevent and handle copyright violations in cyberspace.

Vietnamese law enforcement agencies also called on diplomatic missions, copyright holders, organizations and individuals to continue coordinating in the timely detection and prevention of violations, contributing to a safer, healthier and more transparent online environment.
