Located at Ha Phat Church in Tan Bien Ward, Bien Hoa City, the nearly 40-meter-tall tree is illuminated every evening at 7 PM.
The tree, built on a steel frame weighing several tons, features four tiers of conical hats meticulously arranged to form a glowing holiday centerpiece.
Its widest tier spans nearly 15 meters, narrowing as it reaches the top. To ensure stability, cables are secured around the structure to prevent it from being toppled by strong winds.
The conical hat tree, now in its seventh year at Ha Phat Church, highlights Vietnamese heritage while celebrating Christmas.
Ms Lien, a local resident, expressed pride in the unique display, noting its beauty and cultural significance.
“I feel very proud to see such a distinctive Christmas tree at this church every year. It’s not only visually stunning but also meaningful, attracting visitors from near and far,” she said.
Tuan Anh, a visitor from Ho Chi Minh City, admired the tree’s cultural richness, describing it as a standout compared to traditional Christmas decorations.
“This tree is truly impressive. It’s not just beautiful but also unique. You can see the cultural essence and dedication of the people who created it,” he shared.
According to Ha Phat Church representatives, the tree will remain lit throughout the Christmas season, providing a breathtaking sight for tourists and locals alike.
Every detail of the tree’s construction was carefully executed, with each conical hat fitted with lights for safety and durability against weather conditions.
The church also ensures electrical safety by turning off the lights for 15 minutes each evening to prevent overload.
The tree’s creation was funded entirely by churchgoers’ contributions, demonstrating the community’s support and spirit during the holiday season.
“This conical hat tree will remain lit until New Year’s Day,” a church representative confirmed. “We hope it brings joy and meaningful moments to everyone who visits.”
