As many as 2,500 military items and garments which originate from around the globe have gone on display at a private history museum located in Vung Tau City, with the collection being owned by 75-year-old Robert Taylor from the UK.

The museum was originally founded by Taylor back in 2012, although it did close for a long period of time due to personal reasons, operations did resume in 2016 on Tran Hung Dao Street in Vung Tau City.

The site spans a total area of 1,500 square metres, with 2,500 items on show, including weapons and war uniforms sourced from across the world.

On show in the war uniform section are artifacts from several Chinese dynasties.

The war uniforms of Japanese and Mongolian military forces during the 1192 to 1867 period.

The typical uniform of Roman soldiers.

A view of the classic red coat uniform worn by the British military throughout the 19th century.

Wealthy soldiers during the medieval period in Europe wore armoured suits.

Here are some of the unique items on show throughout the museum.

Uniforms worn by the Vietnamese People's Army can also be seen on display.
