The Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) held a seminar entitled “Technological and knowledge transfer ecological system: opportunities and challenges” on April 8.
The activity was within the framework of the Vietnamese – European Knowledge and Technology Transfer Education Consortium (VETEC) project under the Eramus Key Action 2 programme costing over 17.5 billion VND funded by the European Union.
The project aimed to create a network of technological – knowledge transfer development between Europe and Vietnam, involving HUST, Hue University, Can Tho University, Belgium’s Free University of Brussels, Germany’s Dresden University of Technology, Portugal’s University of Aveiro and other seven supportive members, including the Belgian embassy in Vietnam.

The HUST speaks highly of the efficiency of the project with partners, especially efforts by the Free University of Brussels, European schools in general and the support of the European Union as part of the Eramus Key Action 2 programme, said Son.
Based on the survey result of technology – knowledge transfer for nearly 30 officers from the HUST, Hue University and Can Tho University, several effective models were introduced at the event after over two years of implementation with the assistance of European experts.
Representatives from European universities and businesses shared their real-life experience in the field, countries’ policies, and mentioned challenges in technology transfer model.
The VETEC project is underway from September 2016 – 2019. Its results will be widely spread to develop training courses in the field in Vietnamese universities.-VNA
