VietNamNet Bridge – A fish with a snake body and crocodile head, an oyster with 16 pearls, a snakehead weighing 6kg, a vegetarian pig that can guard a house like a dog are the strange animals that have recently appeared in Vietnam.





On November 20, Mr. Hoang Ba Thanh in Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city found a strange fish in his aquaculture lagoon. The fish weighs 1.7 kg, with a length of 60 cm. It has a crocodile head and snake-like body, with long sharp teeth. Its head has two grooves and two nostrils.

In early November, a boy named Tuan in Thieu Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province caught a big oyster, weighing more than 1 kg in his family’s pond. The oyster contained up to 16 pearls.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan in Luong Hoa Lac commune, Cho Gao District, Tien Giang Province recently caught a giant snakehead fish weighing up to 6 kg.

The elders here said this is the first time they saw such a big snakehead. Many people wanted to buy the snakehead fish for VND3.5 million, but the owner did not sell.

Earlier, on May 24, a man in Can Tho City caught a snakehead weighing 5.1 kg. This fish has a length of 78cm. The fish was discovered by the man when it was crawling to the canal bank to chase a duck.






In February, Ms Tran Thi Le Thu in Ha Lam town, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province panicked when she saw a giant centipede in her house. The centipede is 23cm long.

On January 5, Mr. Tran Van Kim, 49 in Duc Hoa district, Long An province caught a yellow eel weighing 1.6 kg, 1.1 m long.

Mr. Nguyen Van Mao in Thap Muoi District, Dong Thap province has a very special pig. This 100 kg pig is a vegetarian. Especially, this pig has the ability to guard the house like a dog.
