Orchestra of French schools abroad hosts concert

The Orchestra of French High Schools of the World, an interactive project between students and musicians from French schools affiliated with the Agency for French Abroad, will host a concert at the HCM City Conservatory of Music on January 14.

The concert, organised by the Marguerite Duras International School of HCM City, will feature 54 musicians from 28 countries.

The concert is under the direction of Adriana Tanus, music director and conductor of the European Youth Orchestra of Madrid; Claire Perez-Maestro, a music teacher from Marcoussis, France; and Magali Chaudemanche, a music teacher in HCM City.

The show begins at 6pm at the Conservatory at 112 Nguyễn Du Street in District 1. Tickets are VNĐ200,000 for adults and VNĐ100,000 for children, available at www.ticketbox.vn.

Indika Saigon to hold Tết market





Indika Saigon is organising a market featuring 40 vendors to celebrate Tết (Lunar New Year) on January 22  Products include home decorations, crafts, artworks, cosmetics, accessories and clothes. Food and music are included.

French DJ to perform in HCM City




Franco-Moroccan DJ Cut Killer will perform at Piu Piu on January 21 as part of his Asia Tour 2017.

Cut Killer, whose real name is Anouar Hajoui, is a famous DJ of French hip hop. He has played music for 15 years and performed with internationally acclaimed rappers P.Diddy, Jay Z and Tony Parker, and DJs with the Shaddyville DJs, a DJ label of American rappers.

He has also written and released numerous singles, albums and soundtracks.

His show begins at 9pm at 97 Hai Bà Trưng Street in District 1. Presale tickets are VNĐ200,000 and can be purchased at www.ticketbox.vn.

Mosaic Night with Noches and Shekon




On Saturday, Savage – the newly opened techno nightclub – will debut its monthy special music event Mosaic Night with the participation of Shekon and Noches.

While Shekon presents powerful techno, which is a combination of Detroit and Berlin influences, Noches’s music is a journey through techno, psychedelic, and obscure electronic music.

The night will start at 10pm. Savage Club is at 112 Xuân Diệu Street, Tây Hồ District. Ticket cost VNĐ100,000.

Family Health cheers HN cultural diversity





Families are invited to take a fun journey around the world at the family and kids event “New Year Celebration Around The World”, hosted by the Family Medical Practice Vietnam on Saturday.

Set to a multi-cultural beat, the event will provide Vietnamese families and expat communities with a fun introduction to the diverse cultures of Hà Nội.

Scheduled to run about three hours, the festival will feature music performances and both international and traditional Vietnamese food.
