Laurent Levan, URC Vietnam President and General Director, said that given the growing trend towards healthy yet convenient products, the company will constantly invest to respond to such preferences.
Recently, URC announced its investment on the Central Laboratory for all Vietnam facilities, reflecting the company’s commitment to keep to industry benchmarks for quality. “Our investment in the Central Laboratory will help us further raise these standards,” said Laurent.
URC has also acquired the FSSC 22000 Food Safety Certification for its VSIP 1 Beverage & Food Plant 1/2 & Hanoi Beverage Plant, matching URC’s food safety management processes with international standards. URC aims to get the same certification for its VSIP 2 Coffee Plant this year.
All URC factories in Vietnam are also certified for the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and ISO 22001 Food Safety Management System standards, which provides additional assurance to customers on the quality and safety of its products.
Revealing that export is a key pillar of his growth strategy, URC Vietnam is actively engaging with potential customers from other parts of the world to continue promoting the unique and distinct flavors of Vietnam. Beyond its current eight foreign markets, the company moves to enhance the view towards its “Made in Vietnam” URC products, and elevate their standing in the global market place. This effort will be aided by its investment in local talent development and sustainable local sourcing programs.

As the biggest business occasion of the year gets closer, companies are all preparing for the Tet sales season – and URC Vietnam is no exception. The company has started preparing several months ago to ensure that its well-loved products are available to consumers across Vietnam during the Tet festivities.

Despite his short time with the company, the extensive experience in F&B sector and knowledge of Vietnam market has made Laurent express confidence in the opportunities in the market. His focus for the year will be steering the company towards a sustained path to growth, as well as ensuring that URC deepens its relationships and presence in Vietnam, all starting from the positive ambience of the Tet season.
