Earlier, it was reported by some news sites that Mobile World was looking to sell shares of Bach Hoa Xanh, which was valued at US$1.5 billion, and the firm was working with consultants on the sale of 20% of Bach Hoa Xanh shares. It was said that the deal was likely to attract the attention of domestic and foreign retailers as well as financial investors.

In July 2022, Mobile World recorded revenue of VND 11,000 billion, up 16% over the same period in 2021. Mobile World and Dien May Xanh chains reported revenue of VND 8,400 billion in July, up 63% year on year.

The Bach Hoa Xanh chain recorded revenue of VND 2,350 billion in July, down 45% over the same period last year. In particular, 400 Bach Hoa Xanh stores were closed and the layout for all existing stores were changed so far this year.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai, Chairman of the Mobile World Board of Directors, said that after restructuring Bach Hoa Xanh has improved markedly. It has mostly completed the restructuring phase, and the goal for the next few months is optimization. 

From now until the end of the year, Bach Hoa Xanh will open a few stores to evaluate and test new models. From 2023, Mobile World will expand the new Bach Hoa Xanh model nationwide.

As of the end of July, Mobile World owned 1,070 Mobile World stores, 2,185 Dien May Xanh stores and 1,735 Bach Hoa Xanh stores.
