In the morning of July 27, on the occasion of the international seminar on the deployment of the peacekeeping forces of the United Nations, Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh met with US Ambassador Ted Osius and the US delegation.

At the meeting, the two sides expressed satisfaction at the ongoing bilateral relations and cooperation.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh said that Vietnam would make public the map of bombs and mines in the country, with the help of the US, very soon.

Ambassador Osius said Zukunft wanted to visit Vietnam in September. Deputy Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh said he was welcome and would assign relevant agencies to prepare for the visit.

The US Ambassador also conveyed his compliments to the Defense Minister General Phung Quang Thanh, who has just returned to Vietnam from France.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh said before the meeting, he had met with Minister Phung Quang Thanh.

The Minister was delighted that the Vietnam Peacekeeping Center had cooperated with the UN peacekeeping agency and the US’s global peace operation initiative to organize the international seminar.
