Rowen is both an Atlanta trial attorney and an award-winning filmmaker. Balancing the Scales is the culmination of 20 years of interviewing women lawyers in the quest to expose the challenges facing women in the field of law. The film has been shown throughout the US.

The American Film Showcase brings award-winning contemporary American documentaries, independent narrative films and storytelling know-how to audiences around the world. In the framework of AFS, Rowen is travelling to Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar to promote the rule of law and gender equity.

She will give presentations at universities in Hanoi and HCM City.
