According to organizer My Thanh Advertising and Entertainment Co., Ltd., Bryson will share the stage with local young singers, including Uyen Linh, Van Mai Huong and Duong Hoang Yen.
He will perform his greatest hits like “Tonight I Celebrate My love,” “If ever you’re in my arms again,” “Gimme some time,” “Make it til tomorrow,” “By the time this night is over,” “Without you,” and “What you won’t do for love,” and other popular songs in the 1980s and 1990s.
According to Nguyen My Trang from the organizing committee, it is challenging for not only local young artists to perform English songs fluently but also for the music mixer and director to arrange the show.
Musician Hong Kien, the show’s director, said it is difficult for artists to practice for the program. “It’s a good chance to exchange with and learn from a world-class artist to improve the quality of the program and music knowledge of himself as well.”
Bryson, 64, started his music career in the late 1970s. The popular R&B and soul artist in the U.S. won his first Grammy award in 1991 for the song “Beauty and the beast” featuring Celine Dion (soundtrack of the Walt Disney’s cartoon Beauty and The Beast). In 1992, he pocketed the second Grammy award for the song “A whole new world” with Regina Belle (soundtrack of the Walt Disney’s cartoon Aladdin).
In May, Bryson had a tour in Manila, the Philippines, which attracted nearly 3,000 spectators to a two-hour show thanks to his strong and vibrant voice.
Tickets to the shows in Vietnam are priced from VND500,000 to VND3.5 million. For further information, contact 0978 07 67 88 or 0949 37 38 13.
