The newspaper ran the article on the day Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong held talks with President Barack Obama at the White House.

The article said that the meeting marked an important landmark for a new opening story. Putting aside the past and differences, the US and Vietnam are ready to expand their comprehensive partnership. It said that this expanding partnership is boosting initiatives to increase bilateral relations and the US administration’s rebalance strategy in Asia-Pacific.

The developing partnership is creating a mechanism to boost cooperation in politics, diplomacy, trade, economics, science, technology, education, training, the environment, healthcare, issues concerning war consequences, national defense, and security.

The article wrote Vietnam has exported to the US more goods than any other ASEAN countries and this economic relationship has created thousands of jobs in Vietnam and the US.

With 10 other countries, Vietnam and the US are negotiating the TPP agreement to establish a free trade area, which will account for 40% of the world GDP and one third of global trade.

This agreement will create more quality jobs and boost economic growth in the US, Vietnam, and other TPP signatories.
