Students and parents will have an opportunity to meet with university and institutional representatives, discussing matters such as visa procedures, enrollment exams, and scholarship opportunities.

IIE said Vietnam is South East Asia’s fastest growing market in terms of the number of students studying at American colleges and universities, increasing seven-fold over the past decade.

According to its 2011 annual Open Doors report, Vietnam’s more than 15,500 expatriate students studying in the US is the eighth highest in the world.

Vietnam has the second most students studying at community colleges, the highest rate in Asia.

IIE Vietnam is part of its parent non-profit independent organisation based in New York. Established in 1919, IIE is one of the largest non-profit organisations focusing on educational exchange.

It has operated a head office in Hanoi since 1997. IIE Vietnam manages scholarships, organises educational exhibitions, supports the Vietnamese expansion ambitions of universities and colleges in the US, and helps Vietnamese educational institutions find American partners.
