Mckinsey & Company Vietnam, a subsidiary of the US McKinsey group, has agreed to design a plan for tourism development in the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark in the north western mountainous province of Ha Giang.

According to the agreement signed in Hanoi on July 25 between local tourism officials and the company, the US company will also make plans for developing tourism in Ha Giang City through 2025 with a vision to 2035.
Addressing the event, Head of the Steering Committee for the Northwest Nguyen Van Binh hailed the breakthroughs the province has made in socio-economic development.
He also highlighted the local potential for tourism development, with the highlight of rich cultural identity and traditions, numerous historical relic sites and beautiful landscapes including the Geopark.
The agreement will open up opportunities for Ha Giang to attract foreign and domestic economic investors in socio-economic development, Binh said.
