On the second day of the competition on April 30, Tamaya Kitahara of Japan which ranked third at the DIFC 2010 painted a colourful picture of the Japanese garden over Danang’s skies and the Han River. Their performance received thunderous applause from the audience.
Tamaya Kitahara outdid Parente Fireworks of Italy, clinching the championship title at the 16thTarragora international fireworks competition in Spain in 2005.
However, Melrose Pyrotechnics' performance was the centerpiece of this year’s competition. Drawing experience from the 2010 competition, the US team entertained the audience with skillfully spectacular displays lighting up Danang’s skies at night.
DIFC 2013 concluded successfully on April 30. Two first runners-up were Parente Fireworks of Italy and TamayaKitahara of Japan.
After six competitions, despite great effort host Danang and Khan of Russia shared third prize.
