The welcoming ceremony was attended by leaders of Naval Region 4, Coast Guard Region 3, representatives from the Khanh Hoa Department of Foreign Affairs, and other Vietnamese officials. On the U.S. side, attendees included the U.S. Ambassador, Defense Attaché, and other officials from the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam.

This visit is part of the U.S. Navy’s activities aimed at maintaining the friendly and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the United States. The visit seeks to promote peace, cooperation, and sustainable development. During their stay, the crew will engage in cultural exchanges, participate in art performances, and visit social support centers and Khanh Hoa University.

The USS Blue Ridge serves as the flagship of the U.S. 7th Fleet, based in Yokosuka, Japan. It is considered a key command and control vessel in the U.S. Navy.
