VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnam Football Federation’s (VFF) chairman Nguyen Trong Hy has told the media that there is no reason to delay the V-League 2013.

VFF chairman Nguyen Trong Hy said to not postpone the V-League.
He also provided the solution that with less money, V-League would have less number of matches. He also made a comparison that previously, each football club spent VND60-70 billion ($3-3.5 million) in a football season but now they only spend VND25-30 billion ($1.2-1.5 million), and it is still okay.
In fact, Hy’s calculation is not wrong, but it is funny to discount the V-League.
There is a reality that during its heyday, the price of V-League was pushed up, but not from football, but because football was the thing to easily spend money in and to easily legalize money spending of big bosses, who earned money from other businesses but spent money in football.
The prices of foreign players were sky high and some FCs spent more than VND100 billion ($5 million) in a single football season. Enterprises’ investment in football is on the right track but considering football as a legal place to spend money is a different story.
The V-League discounts, it will have to accept to return to certain difficulties or it will have to reject bosses who use football as a screen.
