Right after the season concluded, Cong An Hanoi (Hanoi Police - CAHN) FC announced their farewell to players Ho Tan Tai and Bui Tien Dung. "Both players appreciate the support from the club's leadership, coaching staff, and teammates during their time here. However, Tien Dung and Tan Tai wish to challenge themselves in a new environment. Respecting their wishes, the club has agreed to let them find new opportunities, assuring them that the club's doors are always open for their return," the club announced.
Ho Tan Tai joined CAHN FC in the 2023 season from Binh Dinh FC and played a significant role in helping the club win the championship. He made a total of 24 appearances and scored 4 goals. Meanwhile, Tien Dung played in 21 matches and performed well for CAHN.
In their place, CAHN has signed Brazilian forward Alan Sebasao Alexandre on a two-year contract. After leaving CAHN, Tan Tai has signed a three-year contract with Binh Duong.
In another development, Ho Van Cuong has ended his loan with CAHN and returned to Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) FC for the upcoming season. Last season, Ho Van Cuong made 13 appearances for CAHN, playing 508 minutes in both the V-League and National Cup but did not leave a significant impact.
SLNA has also returned Raphael Success to CAHN and recalled several young players from Bac Ninh, Kon Tum, and An Giang, who were on loan, to prepare for the national U21 tournament and the 2024/25 season.
SLNA has successfully retained forward Olaha, but three players, Van Lam, Van Viet, and Sy Hoang, are out of contract and allowed to leave as free agents.
In terms of coaching, Thanh Hoa Club has extended the contract of head coach Velizar Popov for two years. Next season, the team will compete in four tournaments: the V-League, National Cup, AFC Cup, and the Southeast Asian Clubs Championship. At Binh Duong, Hoang Anh Tuan takes over as head coach after many years of youth coaching for the national team.
At Hanoi FC, head coach Daiki Iwamasa has parted ways with the club to return to Japan following the conclusion of the 2023/24 National Cup final against Thanh Hoa. Following Daiki's impact, the club is looking for another Japanese coach to lead the team.
In the coming period, many "blockbuster" transfers may be activated as the 2024/25 V-League season approaches. According to the Vietnam Professional Football (VPF)'s plan, the 2024/25 V-League is set to kick off in mid-September 2024, following the FIFA Days break. The season will run for ten months from September 2024 to June 2025.
Before the V-League 2024/25 season opener, the 2024 National Super Cup match will take place between V-League 2023/24 champions Nam Dinh and National Cup champions Thanh Hoa.
