Dozens of valuable trees have been illegally logged at a nature reserve in the northern province of Hoa Binh.

The forest destruction has been rampant in Ngoc Son-Ngo Luong Nature Reserve, particularly at Dong Cho area located at Lac Son District.

Bui Van Hung, head of Ngoc Son-Ngo Luong Nature Reserve noted the destruction, saying that the area was adjacent to Pu Luong area in Thanh Hoa Province so the two sides will join hands for the investigation.

Ngoc Son-Ngo Luong Nature Reserve covers a total 19,254-hectare area in Tan Lac and Lac Son districts. It is home to 667 types of plants and, including many rare and valuable kinds.
