The 26-year-old girl hailing from the northern province of Hung Yen stands at 1.72 metres tall and measures 81-62-91.
Van Anh graduated in travel and tourism management from the Hanoi-based National Economics University. She participated in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 pageant where she finished in the Top 45.
The Miss Earth Vietnam beauty contest to seek the nation’s representative at Miss Earth 2021 has been cancelled due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing the organisers to find another representative from a Vietnamese pageant to compete in the world pageant.
The 21st iteration of Miss Earth is scheduled to be held virtually, with no country hosting the event. Its grand final will get underway on November 21, although Lindsey Coffey, Miss Earth 2020, won’t be handing over any crown to a successor on the final night.
Participants from over 70 countries have since registered to participate in this year’s pageant. Van Anh was due to hold an online talk with the organising board of Miss Earth 2021 on October 14 alongside representatives from Ethiopia, Italy, and Myanmar.
Vietnam originally sent its first representative to the contest in 2003. Later, Nguyen Phuong Khanh won the Miss Earth crown in 2018. Three other local beauties: Luu Thi Diem Huong, Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em, and Le Thi Ha Thu finished in the Top 14, Top 8, and Top 16, in 2010, 2016 and 2017, respectively.
