The forward will join Seoul E-Land FC as part of their three-week training course in Busan to prepare for the upcoming K League 2 season.
Van Toan’s signed with the Korean team after his contract with V. League 1 side Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) expired at the end of the 2022 season.
Born in 1996 in the northern province of Hai Duong, Van Toan is a key member of the Vietnam national team, having been a leading striker in the domestic game since the 2015 season. He has made numerous contributions to the success of the national team, including winning the runner-up title at the 2022 AFF Cup.
Previously, his HAGL teammates Cong Phuong and Xuan Truong went abroad to play for Incheon United FC and Gangwon FC in the K League 1, although the pair were ultimately unsuccessful.
Seoul E-Land FC were founded in 2014.
They are a professional football club based in Seoul that competes in the K League 2, the second tier of football in the Republic of Korea.
They will play their K League 2 opening match against Cheongju FC in their home ground with a capacity of 15,511 spectators on March 1.
