VietNamNet Bridge – Veteran actor Le Hong Son passed away on Saturday at Bach Mai Hospital after suffering a stroke. He was 54.

Son had been found unconscious in his house three days earlier.


Born in 1957, Son acted with the Ha Noi Drama Theatre until his retirement. Son overcame a drug addiction and serious injuries suffered in an automobile accident and had been able to resume his acting career.


During his 30 years as an actor, he appeared on stage in such plays as Ha Mi Cua Toi (My Ha Mi) and Hen Ngay Tro Lai (Promise of a Returning Day) and in television dramas such as Nguoi Ha Noi (The Hanoian), Ma Lang (The Village Ghost) and Gio Lang Kinh (The Wind of Kinh Village). His last appearances were in Chu Tich Tinh (Provincial Chairman) and Ngoi Biet Thu Mau Tro Lanh (An Ash-Coloured Villa).
