Nearly two weeks ago, a man named Nguyen Van Giau from Ward 6, Soc Trang City accused of the judge to have dubious relationship with his wife, named Thu. Giau caught in the act Judge Thang and his wife lying together on a hammock in a garden café on the evening of November 2. The husband took a photo as proof.

The Judge explained that he knew that the relations between his employee – Thu – and her husband were not good recently, so he met the woman at the garden café to “console” her.

Le Van Can, Party Secretary of Soc Trang City, said that the photo taken by Giau at the coffee shop on the evening of November 2, is a clear evidence for Judge Thang’s dubious relationship with his employee.

Can said the Vice chief judge violated the regulations on lifestyle of members of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

As the leader of Soc Trang Province’s Party Committee, Can expected that after the Judge was punished for his violation, the Soc Trang City People’s Court would help heal the relationships between Judge Thang and his wife and between Giau and Thu.

Giau and Thu married over four years ago and have a 3-year-old son. Giau said their relationship began rifting for one year, after Thu having a business trip to Hanoi with her colleagues, including Judge Thang.

Giau suspected that his wife had a love affair with her boss and kept following her. He caught in the act his wife and her boss embracing each others on a hammock in a garden café.

Can said that the judge’s wrongdoing has been verified and the Soc Trang City Party Committee would make the final decision on the penalty imposed on Thang.
