VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam defeated Cambodia by 4-1 in their second group B match at the Southeast Asian U-16 Football Championships, held in Laos on July 7-20, on Tuesday.
Viet Hung helped defending champions Viet Nam take the lead by 1-0 at the 30th minute. Firo Fi scoring for Cambodia only four minutes later.
Quang Hai, Duy Manh and Hung managed to score three goals in the 59th, 83rd and 89th, respectively.
As part of group B matches played on Tuesday, Myanmar beat the Philippines 2-1.
Singapore temporarily lead the group with six points, followed by Myanmar, Cambodia, Viet Nam and the Philippines.
Viet Nam, who lost 0-5 to Singapore last Friday, will meet the Philippines today and Myanmar on Saturday.
Following the event, the Vietnamese team is set to continue its preparations for the Asian U-16 Football Championship qualifying rounds, also scheduled to take place in Laos.
The team will be competing in group F against teams including Japan, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, Laos and Cambodia.

Binh Dinh will represent Viet Nam at the ASEAN U13 Football Championship in Thailand held on July 15-18.
The Vietnamese team will be competing against Indonesia, India, Malaysia and two teams from Thailand, the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals to be played at the Muang Thong Thani Stadium.
Binh Dinh, runners-up in the National U13 Football Championship, will leave for Thailand today.
Dong Thap and Dong Tam Long An, who represented Viet Nam at the tournament (won by Indonesia) last year, failed to qualify for the final rounds.
Viet Nam won the title for the first time as hosts in 2008.
