VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam finished seventh out of 10, with nine points at the third Women's World Chess Team Championship in Turkey.
In the final round on Tuesday, Viet Nam tied with Ukraine 2-2. All the four boards finished in draws.
In total, the Vietnamese players had four wins, one draw and four losses.
China won the championship with 16 points, followed by Russia (13) and Georgia (12).
Andrew Hung Pham wins third Viet Nam Match Play Championships
Andrew Hung Pham triumphed at the Viet Nam Match Play Championships on Sunday at the Montgomerie Links Golf Course in the central province of Quang Nam.
Pham successfully beat national champion Huynh Van Son in the final round of the four-day competition to take the annual tournament.
Nguyen Van Thong, one of Viet Nam's top players, finished third.
On the women's side, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung topped the podium followed by Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and Ngoc Trinh.
In other competition, Nguyen Huy Tu had no difficulty in winning the middle-age division while Nguyen Thanh Cong triumphed in the seniors.
The third championships, which lured more than 100 golfers from both local and foreign clubs, is considered the second most important tournament of the year behind the National Golf Championships.
