VietNamNet Bridge – Two teams from Viet Nam will be competing in the Battle of the Year Break Dance Southeast Asian regional round at East Sea Park in the central Da Nang City this Friday.

They will go up against their counterparts from Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines in a five-hour competition that will decide which team and nation will qualify for the World Final in Germany on October 18.

Vietnamese competitors were singled out from among 23 break-dance-boy teams nationwide in a contest held in HCM City early this month. This will be the first time the city hosts a break-dance contest.

The event organising committee has invited experts from Japan, Thailand and Taiwan to be members of the jury.

Performances of break-dance, hip-hop groups and rapper Karik (real name Pham Hoang Khoa) are expected to stir up spectators at the regional qualifying round.
