Vu Danh Viet will represent Vietnam at the FameLab international final in London in June, which is an international science competition.
Viet convinced the jury and audience with his speech entitled ‘Why does rain smell?’ to become the first winner of the FameLab Vietnam final on April 22.
FameLab Vietnam was organised in Hanoi with the participation of 12 contestants, who are young scientists, lecturers and students in science and technology fields from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho. The contest has offered contestants an opportunity to show off their passion for science and science communication.
The FameLab international final under the framework of the Cheltenham Science Festival in June will feature the participation of winners from over 25 countries.
FameLab, launched in 2005, is a science communications competition for young scientists, engineers and researchers, and has attracted a large number of young followers around the world.
