VietNamNet Bridge – From October 20 to 22, low-cost carrier VietJet Air will be giving away 3,000 complimentary tickets on its newest international route between HCM City and Taipei (Taiwan), which will be launched on December 12.

The special promotion is available via online channels only: www.vietjetair.com (compatible on smartphones) and www.facebook.com/vietjetairvietnam (click on the “Đặt vé” tab).

Payment can be made easily with VISA, Mastercard, JCB, American Express or any ATM card registered for internet banking services. The travel period for the promotion is from December 12, 2014 to March 27, 2015 (excluding public holidays).

There have been great advances in trade, tourism and cultural relations between Vietnam and Taiwan in recent years. Taiwan is now the third largest foreign investor in Vietnam (after Japan and Singapore).

Taiwan, with its modern lifestyle, dynamic economy, and abundant tourist attractions, is also an exciting new destination for Vietnamese people to explore.

By opening this new international route, VietJet hopes to tap the growing demand for air travel between two of the most dynamic cities in Asia, while offering passengers the best prices they have ever experienced.

Considering all of these factors, VietJet is delighted to offer a new direct international route linking HCM City with Taipei, bringing residents and tourists more flying opportunities between these two hubs at the best fares ever,” Mr. Lin added.

The route connecting the two cities will initially operate five round trips per week on Monday, Friday and Sunday.

The flight duration per section is three hours and 25 minutes. The flight will depart the Noi Bai International Airport in HCM City at 2.30pm (Vietnam time) and arrive in Taipei at 6.55pm (Taiwan time).

Coming in the opposite direction, the flight will depart Taipei at 8pm (Taiwan time) and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 10.25pm (Vietnam time). This new flight will bring a capacity of 1,800 seats per week.

Flying with VietJet, passengers availing of the SkyBoss package can enjoy a premium waiting lounge and other priority boarding services.
