Striker Ngoc Minh Chuyen opened the scoring in the last minutes of the first half before captain Le Thi Bao Tram beat the Lebanese goalkeeper following Le Thi Trang’s cross from close range in the 76th minute, extending Vietnam’s lead.

Three minutes later, it was striker Minh Chuyen again who took advantage of her teammate Le Thi Trang’s cross to complete her brace.

The 3-0 win helped Vietnam obtain six points and cruise to the finals of the 2024 AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup.

Earlier Vietnam trounced Iran 3-2.

Vietnam will take on Australia on June 7 in their final match of the second qualifying round to vie for the top place in the group stage. Both teams have secured berths to progress through to the finals.

The top two teams in each group, along with the top three teams from last season, namely Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), and hosts Uzbekistan, will compete in the final round next year.
