National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines is set to launch four new domestic routes from the northern port city of Hai Phong on February 1, establishing direct links to Buon Ma Thuot, Cam Ranh (Nha Trang), Phu Quoc and Can Tho.

The updated flight schedule includes one daily round-trip on the Hai Phong–Cam Ranh route. Services to Can Tho and Buon Ma Thuot will operate four times per week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while the Hai Phong–Phu Quoc route will run three weekly round trips on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

With these additions, Vietnam Airlines will increase Hai Phong’s domestic route network to six, markedly broadening direct air connectivity from the fast-growing industrial and logistics hub to key destinations nationwide.

To celebrate the rollout, the carrier is offering promotional fares starting from 359,000 VND (13.8 USD) per one-way ticket, exclusive of taxes and fees.

Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said the expansion underscores the carrier’s role in supporting local development and making air travel more accessible to the public. The new services, he noted, will provide nonstop links between Hai Phong and major tourism hotspots like Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta, facilitating greater leisure travel and socio-economic exchanges.

Looking ahead, Vietnam Airlines plans to maintain close tracking of market trends and passenger demand, making necessary adjustments to optimise the domestic network’s efficiency and sustainability, while contributing to socio-economic development at both national and local levels, he added./. VNA
