According to Vietnam Airlines, passenger T.A.T., a Vietnamese national seated in seat 1K on flight VN524 from Ho Chi Minh City to Shanghai on June 24, showed signs of an unstable medical condition during the journey.

Cabin crew immediately provided first aid and medical assistance. However, the passenger's condition did not improve.

After assessing the situation, the flight crew decided to divert the aircraft and land in Hong Kong so the passenger could receive medical attention as quickly as possible.

Upon receiving notification from the flight, Vietnam Airlines' representative office in Hong Kong coordinated with local authorities and relevant agencies to arrange an ambulance, medical personnel and ground support services.

The aircraft landed safely in Hong Kong at 10:59 a.m. local time. Medical teams were on standby and promptly transported the passenger to a nearby healthcare facility for further monitoring and treatment.

After completing all necessary assistance procedures, flight VN524 resumed its journey to Shanghai at 12:10 p.m. local time.

Vietnam Airlines said the decision to divert the flight was based on an assessment of the passenger's condition and was made in accordance with the airline's operational and flight safety procedures.
